Funding Circle, the UK’s largest small business loan platform, has appointed Abigail Whittaker as its new Director of Communications.
Abigail joins from Metro Bank where she was Head of External Communications. She previously ran the Chief Executive’s office at TSB, and was a management consultant at Deloitte.
Abigail joins the Funding Circle UK leadership team with responsibility for communications across its core audiences including media, government, borrowers and Funding Circle colleagues, known as Circlers.
Abigail is also a recent first-time parent and has become an ambassador for ’Parents @FC’ - one of the Company’s five Diversity, Equity and Inclusion groups, which focuses on providing a safe space and a network for parents.
Funding Circle is in the strongest position it has ever been and our medium-term plan is now focused on empowering small businesses to not only borrow, but pay and spend as well. So it’s a great time to bring new expertise into the team, and I’m really looking forward to working with Abi.
