London, 18 June 2025 - Funding Circle, the UK’s leading SME finance platform, secured a £230 million credit facility from Citi, that the firm will deploy to support its continued strong growth in flexible SME finance solutions.
Funding Circle will use the credit facility to support the continued strong growth of Funding Circle’s flexible payment product, FlexiPay. Demonstrating this momentum, FlexiPay recently surpassed £1 billion in credit extended - with its revenue tripling and transactions doubling in FY24 - bringing Funding Circle's total credit extended to over c.£15bn for SMEs across the UK. The renewed funding facility will also support the company's business credit card, launched in September 2024.
These innovative products sit alongside Funding Circle's established term loan offerings, broadening the financial solutions available to SMEs.
The success of products like FlexiPay is a testament to Funding Circle's proprietary technology, robust credit assessment capabilities, and its ability to deliver attractive returns.
